Microneedling in
Frisco, TX
The skin concerns we see most often from Frisco patients are texture-related: acne scarring left over from years ago, pores that seem more visible than they used to be, and skin that has lost its smoothness. Those are collagen problems, and they need a collagen treatment rather than a stronger serum.
The Spa by RescueMD is a physician-supervised medical spa in Allen, about 15 to 20 minutes from Frisco, under the medical direction of Dr. Olubukola Okoro, MD. We are not located in Frisco — we are a short drive away, and a good number of our patients make that drive precisely because of the supervision.

What Microneedling Does
Fine needles create thousands of controlled micro-injuries in the skin. Your body responds by producing collagen and elastin to repair them — which is why it is properly called collagen induction therapy. You are not buying a product applied to your face; you are prompting your own skin to rebuild itself.
What It Treats
Acne scarring, particularly rolling and boxcar scars. Enlarged-looking pores. Rough or uneven texture. Fine lines. General loss of firmness and dullness. It is one of the most versatile treatments available for skin quality.
It is one of the most versatile treatments available for skin rejuvenation and improving overall skin quality.
How Many Sessions?
Three is the standard course, spaced about four weeks apart, which is why the package is priced the way it is. Significant acne scarring often needs more. You will see some improvement after a single session, but the meaningful change comes from the series as collagen builds.
What to Expect
Topical numbing cream is applied first, so the treatment is comfortable — most patients describe a light sandpaper sensation. The session takes about an hour including numbing time. Afterwards your skin will look flushed, similar to moderate sunburn, settling substantially within 24 to 48 hours. Microneedling can also be part of a broader skin-care plan, and some patients combine it with custom facials depending on their skin goals and treatment schedule.
Aftercare
Keep the skin clean and hydrated. No makeup for 24 hours, and no active ingredients such as retinol or acids for several days. Strict sun protection for at least a week — freshly treated skin is far more vulnerable to pigmentation.
When You Will See Results
Skin looks brighter within a week, but collagen remodelling takes time. The real improvement appears between four weeks and three months after each session and continues building. This is a treatment that rewards patience and photographs rather than daily mirror checks.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many microneedling sessions do I need?
Three sessions about four weeks apart is the standard course. Significant acne scarring often needs more. Results build cumulatively across the series.
Does microneedling hurt?
Topical numbing cream is applied first, and most patients describe a light sandpaper sensation rather than pain.
How long is the downtime?
Your skin will look flushed like moderate sunburn for 24 to 48 hours, sometimes with mild flaking after. Most people are comfortable in public the next day.
Does microneedling help acne scars?
Yes — it is one of the most effective treatments for rolling and boxcar acne scars. Deep ice pick scars respond less predictably and may need a combined approach.
When will I see results?
Brightness within about a week, with the real collagen-driven improvement appearing between four weeks and three months after each session and continuing to build.
Can I have microneedling if I have active acne?
Not over active breakouts — needling across active lesions can spread bacteria. We would treat the acne first and address the scarring afterwards.
Is microneedling safe for darker skin tones?
Yes, and it is often the preferred option for deeper skin tones because it carries a lower risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation than laser resurfacing.

Do you have a location in Frisco?
No. We have one location, in Allen at 945 Stockton Dr., Suite 6140, and we serve patients across Frisco, Plano, McKinney and North Dallas from there. Keeping a single site is deliberate — it is how we keep the same team and the same physician oversight on every treatment.
Is parking easy?
Yes. There is free parking directly outside the suite, which is a meaningful difference from the shopping-centre locations many aesthetic clinics operate from.
